We are looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Legal Counsel to join our growing Legal team in our New Jersey office and report directly to the General Counsel. As Senior Commercial Counsel, you will operate at the intersection of law and business, driving complex negotiations, advising leadership, and scaling our legal infrastructure. You will independently lead complex negotiations, manage commercial transactions, provide critical, strategic legal advice while helping to scale legal processes, manage risk, and close deals around the world. A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- Lead and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS & licensing agreements, strategic partnership agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other business arrangements.
- Create templates for new products and services globally.
- Act as a trusted advisor to UVeye’s Sales, Procurement, Product, Operations, HR, R&D, and Finance teams, providing clear, practical, and strategic legal advice.
- Support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives across our global operations.
- Drive improvements in contract processes and help implement scalable workflows and legal templates.
- Support financing activities, M&A transactions, and other corporate initiatives.
- Manage and liaise with external counsel on specialized legal matters globally.
- Monitor regulatory, privacy, and industry trends impacting UVeye’s global operations.
- Handle and manage pre-litigation disputes and escalations when necessary.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal policies, legal processes, and best practices.
- Help foster a collaborative, solutions-driven, and business-focused culture within the legal team.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (New York or New Jersey admission preferred).
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 3+ years spent in-house at a high-growth technology company.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Proven ability to balance risk and business objectives, with a strong, practical, and business-minded approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-changing environment.
- Experience and a deep understanding of data privacy are strong pluses.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and professional integrity.

Compensation:
UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the New Jersey State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. The annual base salary range for this position is $180,000 – $220,000.
