We are looking for an experienced Customer Support Engineer to join the US R&D Team as a remote employee with business travel. The customer support engineer provides support to our team and customers about our products.


Here’s what you’ll be doing: 



  • Installation, upgrade and configuration of UVeye products
  • Actively update, maintain and monitor all aspects of computer networks
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot customer technical problems
  • Resolve internal technical issues in software
  • Be responsive to customer issues and provide guidance
  • Prepare documentation and reports on customer issues
  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from clients
  • Attend in person meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems
  • Incident management

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in as a Technical Support Engineer
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Hardware and Software installation and integration
  • Experience with Linux OS, dockers, kubernetes
  • Deep knowledge and understanding in networking (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Enthusiastic about customer support and a team player
  • Experience with cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Switches, routers, load balancers, application / network firewalls and similar technologies
  • Comfortable working in and assisting others through software, such as Zendesk, JIRA and Confluence
  • Able to tackle unexpected challenges
  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects efficiently with a high level of autonomy


Bonus if you have:


  • Experience working in startup companies 
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Scripting in Bash/Python
  • Deployment and workflow experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Helm
